Importance of Early Childhood Education

September 2nd, 2010

Early childhood generally encompasses the first eight years in the life of an individual. The education given during these years of a child’s life plays a very important role and helps in proper development of children. Early childhood education can be fundamentally termed as “Learning through play”. Recent research have shown that early eight years in any children life are crucial time because during this phase their brain develops and much of its ‘wiring’ is laid down. The education experiences and relationships a child has along with nutrition can actually affect child mental growth enormously. While good early childhood education helps the brain to develop in healthy ways, improper education or study without play on other hand may affect brain development in different manner. So the experiences and the learning of a child in early years can support them in their entire life.

Recent studies of early childhood education have even shown some remarkable success. It resulting effects on child motivation and learning power last for a long time. Today where education has become very important role to play in a society, it is not right to postpone investing in children education until they become adults, nor wait till they reach school age. In fact early childhood is a vital phase of life in terms of a child’s intellectual, emotional and social development. Besides this, the most important point to know is that the growth of mental abilities is at an astounding rate and high proportion of learning takes place during this period.

It is very important for every parent to understand that a child spends first eight years in realization of his or her own identity. These are very crucial years when children gain a sense of self and learn to associate themselves with the people around them. They develop an understanding and behavior to a certain extent. For this reason it is suggested that early childhood education during these years should be more focused on teaching children about the world around them through play and establish the links. Moreover, many child development experts also agree that play is very important in the learning and emotional development of children. A play can be multi-facet and often helps in educating different skills in children. In addition to this, education through play also helps them learn social skills, and develop values and ethics.

Certainly, today it won’t be wrong to say that early childhood education is the key element that helps in building a god foundation for child’s educational success. Every child learns habit and form patterns that are not easily changed in later years. If parents and educators can develop productive early education patterns for the children in their charge, those children will be on their way to achieving great educational success. The lack of parental interaction during early childhood can negatively impact a child’s development. Ultimately it is the equal responsibility of the parents and tutors to assure the children have a good early childhood education that can further help them develop their personalities.

Stop Teenage Gambling Education Needed At Local Schools

August 16th, 2010

For the past few years teenage gambling has been increasing at an exponential rate. The increase in gambling can be contributed to family members who gamble, multiple television programs like poker tournaments and skillful advertising from the gambling establishments. It’s becoming an epidemic among our teenagers with no real solution being presented to the educators of our schools systems.

The new stream of commercials related to stop gambling has had very little affect. The commercials are geared towards helping people stop gambling but are not geared towards the individuals who have not experienced gambling at this point in time. The stop gambling commercials have not been able to reach the teenager with a compulsive gambling addiction. They however may reach the parents who may realize their child has a problem.

The only way to help our youth is to educate them in the classroom and at home. I remember years ago in health class they educated us on smoking and drinking. This was very effective on those individuals who never started. But the ones that were already addicted the educational programs were unable to reach them.

There following educational curriculums will be available to ship by August 2005 in order to give teachers the proper resource tools to deal with this growing problem:

a) Helpful Resources for identifying teenagers who may have a compulsive gambling addiction.

b) Helping Teenagers identify their compulsive gambling addiction

c) Educating teenagers on compulsive gambling addiction. This one is my favorite because this has the best opportunity to prevent a teenager from gambling, helping teenagers identify the signs of compulsive gambling addiction and if the teenager has a problem with gambling.

d) Giving Teenagers the tools to identify others who may have a gambling addiction like their parents. This one has to be handled sensitively. I have received numerous emails from teenagers who did not know where to go, who to talk to in order to help a family member.

e) Educating Teenagers on the resources available to get help by giving them the local stop gambling telephone numbers and helpful stop gambling websites.

f) Understanding Compulsive Gambling Addiction

g) Practical exercises for teenagers with addictions to learn about self esteem, trust and more.

The above educational curriculums are to be used as a guide for professionals who want to educate the teenage population. The curriculums were based on real life situations. It’s their goal to reach these students at the age where gambling is most likely to affect their future and to help teenagers who have a compulsive gambling addiction.

More educational information can be found at the website [http://www.teenage-gambling-addiction.org].

Teenagers that have been negatively affected by compulsive gambling addiction exhibit signs of self destructive behavior and an apathetic view towards school. By noticing the warning signs early, helps a teenager’s recovery to accelerate.

Our future is in our children. By giving them a good education and family foundation we will help them to survive in this world.

Super Wisdom Foundation to Eclipse Gates Foundation

August 13th, 2010

If who you are matters more to you than what you earn, you should be supporting and promoting the Super Wisdom Foundation and Super Wisdom Dot Com. One; Wherever you are on your journey of self discovery and spiritual growth, Super Wisdom can only benefit your journey. Two; As you gain personal experience with Super Wisdom, you become keenly aware of it’s benefits and value for others and feel compelled to share it. (As I do) Three; Sharing Super Wisdom requires no more personal effort than directing traffic.

As a non profit foundation, Super Wisdom generates no profit but it does generate revenue, to meet expenses and expand its work. Essentially a shoestring bookstore operation since 1998, this small company only received its official non profit status recently. To celebrate, operator Tom Russell has added podcasting and an affiliate program. I became the first affiliate less than two weeks ago. With a webmaster on vacation, I won’t earn a penny until I get my links, banners and content in order on my web site. You, on the other hand, could begin earning in days or hours and assisting the growth of Super Wisdom. I cannot recommend it too highly.

The dawn of the New Age and the Information Age is all about the global awakening to higher consciousness. No more go along to get along. Now it is lead to create leadership. while many of us can claim to have global distribution, most of us are restricted to those people who read and read English in particular. A largely isolated and illiterate world, needs to receive audio instruction in its native languages before it can learn to read anything, in any language. English ought to be an option for awakening, not a requirement.

We now have some text translators for those who are literate in their native languages. This is a growth problem that will be solved soon enough. Audio translation can not be far behind. My point is that audio removes illiteracy as an obstacle to education and consciousness raising on a global scale.

If a company such as Apple Computers was to begin philanthropic work globally, they could divorce the world from Microsoft. An Apple laptop, solar battery charger, satellite transciever and a dozen I pods for every town and village would make Super Wisdom content available to the world and create a vast market for some alternative computer hardware. Sonce Apple likely has corporate mind and not philanthropic mind, the whole thing may be left for you and me and Super Wisdom to do. Are you up for it?

I implore you to visit SuperWisdom.com and spend an hour or more evaluating their work as a potential partner in a work which has all the potential to surpass anything Bill Gates might imagine. The opportunity is here. The opportunity is now. If you can’t spare an hour, you clearly need more wisdom.
